Details: Selina Mathias and her family offer you a warm and friendly welcome to Bangeston Farm, which is a working 350 acre dairy farm within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

This comfortable farmhouse is secluded, yet convenient and quietly situated one mile off the main road on a private lane, with pleasant views stretching down the valley and out to the coastal headlands of Barafundle Bay, Stackpole Head, and on the horizon Lundy Island.

The front of the house is lawned, surrounded with flower beds and shrubs, also two other gardens, one with rotary line for guests use. There is also ample car parking space.

Although a centuries old farmhouse (the original part is believed to be 13th Century, and has a Flemish chimney, and probably one of the finest in Wales), it has been modernized, but still retains its character and homely atmosphere.

Spacious bedroom accommodation is in double, twin and single rooms, all with sinks, TV, beverage trays, shaver points, hairdryer, towels, and radio alarm clocks. Although we are non en suite, residents share a bathroom, consisting of bath/shower and toilet. Another separate toilet is also available, guests find this quite amicable. The house has full central heating, a comfortable residents' lounge with TV and a good supply of literature, books and magazines.

Bangeston is an ideal base from which to explore the outstandingly beautiful countryside, the unspoilt sandy beaches, Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Bosherston Lily Ponds and Stackpole Quay, for the keen walkers. This part of South West Wales offers a wide variety of outdoor activities as well as walking, climbing, horse riding, fishing and birdlife. Packed lunches are available by prior arrangement.

Our historic town of Pembroke, with its superb castle is ten minutes' drive, and we are within an easy distance to the walled town of Tenby, and boat trips to Caldey Island, St Davids and its Cathedral, Adventure and Leisure Parks.

Generous hospitality along with good home cooking here at Bangeston. Good hearty breakfasts served at 8.30am, will give the boost to start off the day. Cereals, yoghurt, fruits, cooked, toast and homemade preserved, such as Whiskey Marmalade, rhubarb and ginger jam, gooseberry and apricot, to name but a few, all made in the farmhouse kitchen by your friendly host Selina.
