King Gaddle Cottage is a lovely old stone cottage adjacent to the owner's former farmhouse, the origins of which date back to the 12th century. It is steeped in history and full of character in a peaceful tranquil setting. The beautiful unique accommodation includes a magnificent stone inglenook fireplace with a log burning stove and a very romantic galleried bedroom.

Details: Situated in beautiful South West Wales just over one mile from the picturesque medieval township of Laugharne and 14 miles from Tenby. Beautiful scenic walks, historic castles, stunning sandy beaches, horse riding and a choice of restaurants are all available locally. The cottage is perfect for either a relaxing summer holiday or a cosy warm winter retreat.


King Gaddle Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful region of South and West Wales. Within easy reach of both the spectacular coastal beauty of Pembrokeshire with its National Park and miles of coastal path and the lush green valleys and rolling landscape of Carmarthenshire.


King Gaddle Cottage provides beautiful unique accommodation which is full of character. Downstairs the cottage is laid out in an open plan living room, dining area and kitchen. In the living area is a magnificent stone inglenook fireplace complete with log burning stove.


Upstairs there is a romantic galleried bedroom with an exposed A-framed ceiling and a 5ft kingsize bed. The bathroom is ensuite with a shower over the bath, a toilet, shaver point and wash basin.


The cottage has its own large private south facing garden and patio area with table and chairs. Two small folding garden chairs are also provided and a small barbecue. There is ample easily accessible off road parking.


The kitchen is very well equipped with a good selection of crockery, glassware and cutlery and includes an electric stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, a fridge with a small ice box and a washing machine.


There is a TV with Sky Freesat, a DVD player and a CD player.


A hairdryer and an iron are also provided. The cottage also has full oil fired central heating. Bed linen and personal towels are also provided.


King Gaddle Cottage is just over one mile from Laugharne, an ancient township steeped in history with its own unique charm and character.



Laugharne has been an inspiration to many artists and writers, among them Dylan Thomas. The Boathouse where he once lived and wrote many of his works, most famously “Under Milk Wood” is now a heritage centre and he is buried in the graveyard of the 13th century St Martins Church.

The beautiful ruins of the 12th century Norman castle have lovely Georgian and Victorian gardens. The castle is open to the public between April and September. Laugharne also has a silversmith and a pottery and glass blowing workshop. There are also two small convenience stores, a post office and chemist, a hairdresser, a bakery, gift shops, tea rooms, several pubs and a choice of restaurants.


There are so many beautiful beaches within easy reach, the nearest of which, Pendine, is only three miles away. A few more miles along the coast road is Amroth beach where the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path begins. As you carry on along the coast road you will be spoilt for choice as you discover many more lovely places. The quaint seaside town of Tenby with its two golden, sandy beaches is only 14 miles away.
