Pitton Cross Caravan and Camping is a family run touring park on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales, and is approximately 16 miles from Swansea and being the only caravan and camping park near Rhossili and Worms Head.

Details: Catering for touring caravans, tents and motor homes All pitches are on level ground, well spaced around the field edges, and sited through out 6 paddocks.
We have both 'family only' and 'dog free' areas and several hard standing for motor homes.

With many pitches offering extensive sea views, the park is set amid scenic coastline, rugged cliffs, (ideal for climbing) sandy bays & secluded coves (endless walking opportunities), together with excellent surfing beaches, kite flying, hang gliding and Parascending opportunities.

Reception and Shop
Our shop and reception is located close to the park entrance with a convenient parking area, and your check in point on arrival, a source of local information our shop open from Early May to the end of September is well stocked with every day essentials, (milk, bread, etc) beach goods, maps and guides, camping accessories, fishing bait and tackle, kites, and souvenirs in season.

We have a large range of Welsh Gifts, ranging from new Earth & Surf Jewellery, Framecards, books, Colony Candles which include the New Reed Defusers in several fragrances. We have the designer “Croc” shoes and a variety of Wetsuits, which are available.

If you enjoy fishing we have bait, lines and hooks.

If you have never flown a kite or you are an expert why not come and see what kites we hold. We hold spares too.

The Campsite
The campsite is spread over 6 small fields or paddocks varying in size from 9 pitches to 30 pitches together with an additional field for about 40 tents during the main summer holiday period. Some areas being no dogs some a quiet zone some families only. We accept single sex groups at our discretion and despite the efforts of a small minority we aim to maintain a quiet at night policy throughout the campsite, and will promptly deal with any infringements that are brought to our attention.

Showers
Adjacent shower and toilet facility with constant hot water, baby change room, with baby bath, changing surfaces, toilet and washbasin, facility for less able customers and wheelchair friendly.

Laundry and dishwashing
An undercover dishwashing area with lots of hot water and an adjoining laundry room with washing machine tumble dryer and deep sink.

Water points and hook up points
All areas of the campsite have water points and most pitches have a hookup point at either 10 or 16 amp. We are progressively upgrading all hookup points to 16 amp.

Children's Playground
Our play ground in the centre of the park is geared to the needs of younger children with swings, a pirate ship, and some new additions to come for 2007.

Kites
The Gower Kite centre stocks a wide range of Kites accessories and spares suitable for all ages and experiences from kiddies kites to sports kites and parafoils.

Walking
Footpaths lead to the coast path, Mewslade Bay, Rhossili Village, Worm’ s Head, Rhossili Downs and link up with the Gower Way trail.

Transport
A regular bus service enables one to access most parts of the peninsula enjoy a walk and get the bus back.

SPECIAL OFFERS
Over 50's special offers 2007
We continue to offer customers over 50 years of age the opportunity to stay at Pitton Cross for 7 days or more for a substantially reduced rate during low and mid season.

The offer includes awning and hook-up and car caravan / tent, or motor-home and two people maximum both to be over 50 years of age. The only requirements are that the holiday must be booked and confirmed at least one week in advance and the minimum stay is 7 days.

The cost is currently £55 per week for over 50s and £50 per week for over 60s with additional, nights pro rata, a typical saving in mid season of £55 and a saving of £46 in low season on the full brochure price.

Four Nights For The Price Of 3
Not available during high season or Bank Holidays - only from Sunday to Thursdays. Please call for further details.

DOGS - We welcome dogs on the following terms..
Dogs are charged at £1 per dog per night.
If your holiday encroaches into high season at any point those nights will be charged at full brochure price.

Dogs must be on a lead at all times on the campsite and on adjoining farmland.

Dogs must only be exercised in the designated exercise area and not on the track to the beach.

It is a condition of stay that you clean up after your dog and all fouling placed in the bins provided.

Dogs must not be left unattended on the campsite or in any vehicle.

More than two dogs per unit and certain breeds are accepted at our dicsretion.
By bringing your dog on to the park you are deemed to accept these terms.
