Details: Whether you would like to have your own holiday home or rent one of our cottages, Patch can cater for your needs.

What Patch has to offer is something very different. The caravan site itself is set within sand dunes hundreds of years old and over looks the estuary and Cardigan Bay, which gives the individual caravan plots beautiful views over the water. The site is also of special scientific interest, and has many rare plants which are protected, as are the dunes themselves. The Cardigan coastline has a variety of marine and coastal wildlife, including Bottle Nosed Dolphins, Grey Seals and Porpoise.

Patch is located on the West Wales coast, in the county of Ceredigion. The whole of Ceredigion is steeped in history. Cardigan the main town is situated on the Teifi River, and it is in itself an old fortified town with its own castle, which is still evident.

The Cottages
Patch has three cottages available, Porpoise, Seal and Teifi View. Both Porpoise and Seal are beautifully positioned overlooking the golf course.

Porpoise - sleeps 8
Porpoise is the larger of two modern cottages. It has recently been refurbished and has full central heating. It can accommodate eight people comfortably. There is a large lounge with dining area overlooking the Bay, with comfortable seating for eight guests, a colour television, video, CD player a fully fitted kitchen complete with all modern appliances including fridge / freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine / tumble dryer, there is also a pay phone for the convenience of guests.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor. The larger bedroom has a double bed and a full sized single bed, the second ground floor bedroom has twin beds. There is also a toilet and shower room on the ground floor.

On the first floor is a further spacious bedroom with a double bed and a full sized single bed. There is also a bathroom and a separte w.c.. The fully fenced garden also has a B.B.Q. area.

Most linen items that you will need for your stay are provided, Sheets, duvet with covers, Pillows and cases, Bath and hand towels and tea towels.

Seal - sleeps 2
The Seal cottage is adjacent to the Porpoise cottage and can accommodate two people, plus a sofa bed. It is a modern cottage that has recently been refurbished. It has a spacious living area with dining room, with views over the golf course and Cardigan Island. It has comfortable seating for four guests, a colour television, video, CD player, and also has a pay phone. The modern fitted kitchen is well equiped and includes a dishwasher and a washing machine/tumble dryer.

Upstairs there is twin / double bedroom overlooking the Bay. There is a bathroom with shower over the bath. W.C. and basin. Two folding beds are also provided. The separate enclosed lawned garden has a B.B.Q area.

Linen can be provided at a modest charge and would enclude, Sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, bath, hand towels, kitchen and tea towels.

Teifi View - sleeps 6
Teifi View is a new cottage with beautiful views can accomodate six people, and is fully centrally heated, the cottage is situated within a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It has views over Cardigan Bay, and the estuary and sand dunes. It is situated on the first floor with access via an outside staircase leading on to a balcony.

The accommodation consists of a large well equipped lounge with dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, washing machine / tumble dryer etc. There are three bedrooms, one double with ensuite, the second bedroom has twin beds and the third has bunk beds. The bathroom contains bath, toilet, basin and a separate shower. There is a room on the ground floor for the storage of bikes / fishing rods etc.

Activities
Boating:
Alongside the Park is the Teifi Boat Club, which has facilities including a bar, light refreshments and Sunday lunches. The club is disabled-friendly, and welcomes either new, temporary or full membership. Moorings are available for a fee for the Park users, with a temporary membership, boats can be launched and recovered on the well-surfaced slipway with parking for both boats and cars. The club also welcomes young sailers and offers training sessons.

Other Activities:
Cardigan town centre offers many attractions, at Theatre Mwldan you can see the lastest films, productions and it also has an art gallery. If you need more active pasttimes then there is the Golf Course, or the dry ski slope at Llangranog. You could always take a day out to Cardigan Island Coastal Farm. Do you wish to take a boat trip around the bay, and see the wildlife close up?

Cardigan Town Centre:
Cardigan town centre one and a half miles from Patch, offers a choice high street shops and supermarkets, alongside traditional shops, inns and eating places many with their original Georgian, and Victorian fronts. Also in Cardigans Guild Hall there is a traditional indoor market most days, where fresh local produce can be purchased. The old town of Cardigan is steeped in history which can still be seen, Cardigan also still has its own Castle .

Site of Special Scientific Interest
Patch is situated within a much larger site of special scientific interest, which is monitored by the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW). The CCW are advisors for the government on sustaining the natural beauty and wildlife throughout Wales.

Patch is one of several Welsh dune systems that are now recognised to be of International importance for their geological, geomorphological and biological features.

There are many types of sand dunes that support different types of plant life, fungi, sand lizards and invertibrates.

One of the plants that can be found at Patch is "Lady's bed straw" which is a small foul smelling plant when crushed, and was mixed in with straw that was used to made up matresses, as it repelled fleas. Ensuring a good night's sleep!

Patch caravan park is nestled within sand dunes and overlooks Cardigan Bay and is of interest because of the flora that can be found in the dune system, the cliffs a quarter mile up the coast and its foreshore support a wide range of marine and coastal wildlife.

Cardigan Bay itself is known to be populated with Bottlenosed Dolphins and Atlantic Grey seals. The cliffs provide nesting sites for Choughs and the lesser black backed gull, amoung the crevices of the cliffs can be found a rare sub-species of Rock sea- Lavender.
