Dale Holiday and Accommodation Guide

Introduction

The village of Dale on St Bride's Bay is a popular water sports centre and point of origin for boat trips to the islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm.

Details - Dale, Pembrokeshire.

The village of Dale on St Bride's Bay is a popular water sports centre and point of origin for boat trips to the islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm. Unfortunately the view from the village is slightly spoiled by the location of the nearby oil refineries. Despite this, it remains a popular spot for many water sports, as the beach is sheltered and east facing, which makes it excellent for yachting.
Surf Dale offers lessons at all levels in kayaking, sailing, surfing and windsurfing.
For a greasy spoon breakfast, Dale boathouse is hard to beat and excellent value, note that they are only open during the summer months though. For real ale enthusiasts, The Griffin Inn is a must, and The Moorings at the yacht club next door serves restaurant meals on the waterfront.
Dale Sailing offers trips to the national nature reserve island of Skomer or the Grassholm Gannetry Island.
