Set near St David’s in Pembrokeshire’s beautiful National Park, our two attractive stone and slate cottages are situated within sight of the sea at Porthiddy Farm West, which has been farmed since 1340. Walk about 500 metres through our fields to Abereiddy beach and the Blue Lagoon; serious walkers can enjoy 180 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Pine floors and oak stairs set a traditional atmosphere. Our approach to sustainability includes a fully automatic wood-fuelled boiler that provides hot water, and central heating to the cottages, and to the adjacent farmhouse where we live. Hot water and central heating are included in the price. Bwthyn Hir is a long, spacious, single-storey cottage that sleeps four people. The cottage is entered from the seaward side into an open-plan living area with wooden floors and stone walls. An antique pine partition divides the sitting-dining area from the well-fitted kitchen including dishwasher, freezer, fridge, washing machine with dryer, cooker and microwave oven. The large bathroom has a full suite with bath and separate shower. The two bedrooms overlook the farmhouse garden, with a double bed in one room and two single beds in the other. The butler-sink, wooden table, chairs, cupboards and floor set a traditional atmosphere accompanied by a comprehensive range of modern kitchen equipment including a dishwasher. A comfortable sitting room and a downstairs bathroom, with a full suite that includes a shower over the bath, lead off the entrance-hall. Here also the oak stairs wind up to the second storey where there are two attractive bedrooms, one with a double bed and a single bed, and the other with two single beds.
