Details: Freshwater East is a beautiful wide sandy beach with clear water which is backed by sand dunes with a fresh water stream running to the sea. It is an idyllic spot for families as it is a lovely sheltered bay. It is also very popular with water sports enthusiasts although the surf only really works here when other areas are too big. The waves tend to break in shallow water and the shore break provides excellent opportunities for body surfing! Local fisherman use the slipway to launch their boats.



There is a car park nearby, as well as toilets
