For the trail rides, you don’t need to be an expert, but some ability to control the horse is required, as the horses are very responsive to the rider. The ranch offers a 2 hour trail, a 3-4 hour trail (for which you need to bring your own packed lunch), a full day trail (again, packed lunch required) and also (between July and August) evening trails. The trail rides will take you along ancient bridleways and, for the longer trails, into the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside. Tuition is available for beginners and for experienced western riders, either on a one to one basis or in groups. The ranch has one of the largest all-weather outdoor arenas in Wales. The centre has also been a finalist in the 2003 Wales National Tourism awards and in the 2004 Pembrokeshire tourism business of the year awards. The centre is North of Llawhaden, near Narbeth (see the Sycamore website for more details). Please take comfortable jeans, shoes with heels and a waterproof coat, just in case the Welsh weather doesn’t smile on you! Hats can be provided.
