Travel to South West Wales

Travel tips for getting to and from South West Wales

By Road:
Travelling to South West Wales by road is extremely straight forward as we only have one motorway, the M4. This road links South Wales with London and the journey can take 3-4 hours, depending on the time of day that choose to travel on.

The M4 stops shortly after Llanelli and turns into the A48, delays can occur here on, although nothing like the delays that occur on the way to the South West of England.

From Birmingham in the North and Exeter in the South, the M5 mortorway links to the M4. Travel from both of these destinations can take up to 3 hours to Pembrokeshire.

The M4 / M5 junction at Bristol can get very busy, especially on weekends and bank holidays.
